Work Item permissions
In TrendMiner, collaboration enables users and teams to work together by sharing work items such as views, searches, or dashboards. By sharing, users can grant others permission to perform specific actions on an item, such as viewing or modifying it. This allows analyses and insights to be shared, reviewed, and built upon by others.
Subjects and Resources
Sharing and permissions in TrendMiner are built around two key concepts: subjects and resources.
A subject is assigned permissions on a resource, which determine the actions it can perform on that resource.
Subjects
Subjects represent the entities that can be granted permissions. A subject can be either an individual user or a user group.
Users are individual TrendMiner accounts.
User groups are collections of users that can collectively be assigned permissions. Any permission granted to a user group is automatically inherited by all users who belong to that group, but not by subgroups of that group.
Resources
Resources are the items to which permissions apply. A resource can be either a work item (such as a view, filter, or dashboard) or a folder that contains one or more work items.
Ownership
At the core of the work item permission model is ownership. Ownership grants you the Owner permission, which allows the highest level of actions on an item.
