Text tile
The text tile is an important element of your dashboard. You can use it to display short or long texts, presented in a visually contrasting way. This tile type looks different from other tiles because it "loses" its background colour when in view mode. By doing this, maximum space is afforded to display tile content.
The text tile can be found in the list when creating a new tile.
Once a text tile is confirmed in the side panel using the "Add new tile" button, an empty tile is added with some guidance to add text.
Clicking "Add text" in the tile or using the option "Edit text content" will show a modal where you can add, adjust and remove formatting.
Basic options | Explanation |

Bold | Set the selected text in bold. |
Italic | Set the selected text with a slope to the right. |
Underline | Adds a line underneath the selected text. |
Align left | Align text with the left margin. |
Align middle | Align text in the middle with the same space between the left and right margin. |
Align right | Align text with the right margin. |
Unordered list | Starts a list with no inherent order (bullets). |
Ordered list | Starts a list with inherent order (numbering). |
Undo | Reverse the effect of a previous action. |
Redo | Cancel the undo action. |
Create table | Start creating a table to be included in the tile. |
Delete table | Remove a complete table. |
Show more | Reveal more options. |
Clicking on the "Show more" button reveals more options. Which can be hidden using the "Show less" button.

Strikethrough | Add horizontal line through the text. |
Subscript | Distinguish a symbol or text below and to the right of another character. |
Superscript | Distinguish a symbol or text below to the above and to the right of another character |
Justify | Space is added between words so that both edges of each line are aligned with both margins. |
Paragraph | Change the format of the text that affects an entire paragraph including alignment, font type, font size highlighting and indentation. |
Font size | Update the current font size. |
Text color | Update the color of the selected text. |
Background color | Update the background color of the selected text. |
Indent | Adds a point under the previous point (bullet or number). |
Outdent | Moves the point under the previous point to the previous level. |
Link | Make a clickable link to another web resource. |
Unlink | Remove a link that has been set. |
Add column before | Add a column on the left of the column the cursor is located. |
Add column after | Add a column on the right of the column the cursor is located. |
Add row before | Add a row above the row the cursor is located. |
Add row after | Add a row below the row the cursor is located. |
Delete column | Delete the column where the cursor is located. |
Delete row | Delete the row where the cursor is located. |
Merge cells | Merge the selected cells together in one. |
Split merged cells | Split merged cells into the original state. |
Show less | Hide the advanced options. |
Click the save button to add the text to the tile. When the dashboard is ready to go, you can press the blue “View” button with the text tile set for display.
